Notify employees when their timesheet is late or not filled out, or many other events.
Wouldn't it be great to get email notifications when you forgot to fill in your timesheet? Or when you were assigned to a new project? Or when your tasks where coming due? That's that the email notification feature is all about. It reminds you of timesheet things you should attend to.
To view timesheet email notifications, first choose Tools, Users and Organization. Right-click on a user and choose Email Notifications.
The first set of email notifications deal with the timesheet. Employees can get an email notification when they have forgotten to submit their timesheets for approval (which is optional, BTW), or when their timesheet contains less than a specified number of hours, like 40 or 37.5. Managers can also get notifications when an employee has submitted a timesheet.
Employees and managers can get email notifications when time off requests are submitted, for things like vacation, PTO, sick, personal, and other reasons. You can even see when your time off request has been approved or rejected.
The last section of email notifications deals with projects and tasks. You can get a notification when you are assigned to a project, or when your tasks are due. Managers are notified when certain task percentages are exceeded. This lets them know that a task or project is nearly complete.
Email notifications can be set up for an entire workgroup, or for individual employees. When you set up notifications for a workgroup, all the employees in that group will receive them. There is no need to check off individual employees for all email notifications.
Email notifications are just another way to make the timesheet simpler and easy to use.
