Here's a quick idea: Quick Tasks.
Quick Tasks are listed under projects in a special window. You open the project you're working on, and find the quick task under it. You'll see a checkbox next to the task. Click it to start the timer. Then go to work on your task. When you're finished, click the Quick Task again and the timer stops. All your time is automatically put into the timesheet.
