Learn more about scanning time and materials on the shop floor in Standard Time. Here we are exploring the basic properties of inventory items in ST. You'll also see Bill Of Materials (BOM) items that contain nested inventory items. Upload attachments for each inventory item. Place quantities of items at various locations, and manage quantity in stock. Deduct from stock when items are scanned, and then automatically reorder when the level drops below a preset limit. You build or buy inventory items, which means there is a rebuild project template used to replenish stock. A new job will automatically be created to rebuild inventory stock. Or, automatically reorder from a website URL when necessary.

Notice also that you can require a timer to be running when scanning inventory. This means you'll have the advantage of using previously collected scans like Job, Employee, Client, etc. when timestamped records of inventory usage are saved. This effectively ties time and materials to the same job, employee, client, etc. You can export or run reports on time and material usage.
